It is with great pleasure that I write the first blog entry on our new website. You may have found us through google by chance or you may have found us through the conveniently listed URL on a flyer thrusted into your possession at the Societies’ Fayre. Either way, you have stumbled upon the definitive resource in keeping updated on the goings on at Kent Debating Society.
As a committee we will be musing regularly through this blog, whether it be updating you on what exciting speakers will be addressing the society, confirming the topics we will be covering in our weekly debates or anything else we feel is tenuously-linked sufficiently to debating that we can publish it here!
While we are excited to be leading the way in putting competitive debate back into the giant societal-soup of Kent Union we are even more excited about meeting you all, having a blistering argument and then shaking hands afterwards over a drink or two.
