To celebrate the end of KDS’s first term we are throwing an end of term extravaganza for our members. After our elections we will be enjoying some beverages, some pizza, have our debate and then sample the surrounding area’s finest drinking establishments.
…back to the debate. The motion is a festive one. A number of people asked me about what the motion meant exactly to which the answer is (and you should all know this by now!) “it’s whatever the first proposition decides”. I will probably occupy this speaker role on the night to exert and excessive amount of influence in this.
What wouldbe speakers need to think about is why on earth we would want to detain the Father of Christmas. The cynics may want to focus on the impact commercialism has had on the festive holidays, the more imaginative among us may want to think about his impressive record in flouting modern law/conventions.
