Welcome back everyone!

I hope you’ve had a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable Christmas break. We’re looking forward to seeing you all refreshed and ready for our first debate of 2011, which will be This House Supports Wikileaks.

Is complete transparency appropriate or helpful in international politics? Should governments have the right to keep their affairs secret? Is Wikileaks a rightful arbiter of openness in governance?  Is Julian Assange a cyber-terrorist? To make or hear the case for these questions be sure to come along on Wednesday at 6pm in Keynes Lecture Theatre 5.

There’ll be complimentary wine and soft-drinks on offer for those who attend as well as a good helping of laughs and, most importantly, enthusiastic debate!

Also, our Kent Debating Hoodies have arrived! Those of you that bought yourselves one will be able to pick it up this Wednesday. If you would like to purchase one, let us know you’re interested and we’ll set about getting another batch organised.

See you on Wednesday and best wishes for the Spring Term!
