Wednesday’s debate was settled by a strong proposition persuading the house that the British model of multiculturalism has failed, and that a new approach to cultural integration is necessary. Congratulations to Zhangning for winning best speaker with an excellent extension. (3rd Prop)

This week, we’ll be debating the motion This House Believes the UK Needs Trident. Does the UK require a nuclear deterrent, and to what extent are their future use likely? These questions will doubtlessly be addressed this Wednesday, so if you’re interested in speaking or learning more about the issue come along to Keynes Lecture Theatre 5 at 6pm.
