Wednesday evening’s trials saw Georgie, Matt B., Solomon and Zhangning selected to attend the Inner Temple IV competition. We’ll update you on the motions and how well they did in the rounds they competed in once they’ve been uploaded by the Inner Temple.
This week, we turn to an interesting combination of international relations and politics with the motion This House Would Directly Elect Diplomats. Should democratic accountability be extended to foreign affairs? Should diplomacy be run by an elite, or would accountability be a way of making international relations more transparent and effective?
